Luxury Bed and Breakfast
La
Maison de
la Halle is a 18th century maison bourgeoise overlooking the market place in
the tranquil bastide village of Lévignac de Guyenne in South-West France.
The walled garden at the rear of the house has a terrace with breathtaking views
over the woods, hills and fields, which are a blaze of yellow sunflowers in
the summer, and enjoys magnificent sunsets in the evenings. The house has been
beautifully restored by the interior designer owners, using the finest of fabrics,
carpets and antique furniture. La Maison de la Halle offers luxury bed and breakfast
in any one of the spacious double bedrooms, all with private
bathroom. Breakfast is served in the enormous kitchen overlooking the garden with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Past the old pink climbing roses, lavender and rosemary bushes scent the air, and a plane tree lends its leafy shade for lunch. Down an old covered stone staircase and through an ancient wooden door, lies the sun drenched lower terrace of the garden, with a fabulous salt-water pool encased in its ivy-clad walls.
